Overview

I’ve been practicing the art of filmmaking at every stage of production for over a decade now, and I’m finally producing work that aligns more closely with what I’ve envisioned. From storyboards and pre-production paperwork to the lights, camera, and action, I’ve made several works using industry-standard tools for cinema.

Below is the short film I’m most proud of, called SCRAMBLE (2024). It was my submission entry for the 2025 Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowship for Individual Artists. Out of sixty-five emerging artists from the four-county Milwaukee area, I was one of 23 semifinalists selected in the first round.

Editing and Color Grading

This short film was edited in DaVinci Resolve, where I also utilized its nodes for color grading. Since this project was inspired by FX’s The Bear, I went with a color palette of amber and teal tones. I’m a huge fan of The Bear, especially since it often spotlights mental health in the forms of stress, anxiety, and depression as products of deeply-rooted past traumas. With SCRAMBLE, I aimed to focus on that as well in a quieter sense, with just one person cooking a much simpler meal than what is seen in the show.
