Overview

The Milwaukee City Conference (MCC) provides student-athletes attending Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) with quality resources and high-level coaching, preparing the next generation of leaders for the world around them. While working for Milwaukee Recreation’s marketing team, I was privileged with a handful of opportunities to help the MCC with exciting marketing campaigns surrounding their events. Read more here.

MCC City Review 2025

It was an honor to capture footage, photography, create motion graphics, and design the hero image for the 10th Anniversary of The City Review, hosted by the Milwaukee City Conference. You can read more details about the event here.

Video Editing

While at the 2025 City Review, I captured a lot of footage, which I sorted through during the assembly process and edited meticulously afterwards. I love video production, and editing is possibly one of my favorite parts of the process.

Motion Graphics and Digital Signage

Aside from marketing strategy, part of my role for this campaign included animating motion graphics, which would be posted as digital signage in schools and on social media channels to ramp up excitement. Our goal was to get more people into the seats of Marquette’s Al McGuire Center for an event that is typically much smaller in scale. Student-athletes throughout MPS schools were ecstatic to see themselves and their friends in this light on social media.

This general digital signage screen introduces the 2025 City Review with the hero graphic I designed for the event.

This motion graphic served the purpose of informing staff, students, and families about the 2025 City Review, to be played in rotation with other videos.

Social Media Graphics

A lot of the turnout for big events relies heavily on the excitement we can build around a campaign through various means such as digital advertising, broadcasting, word of mouth, and interviews. We were happy to find out that this year’s City Review had a great response from people excited to support the student-athletes, and how that excitement continued into the other Spring sports of 2025. The motion graphic I animated above was included in our social media rollout to keep users engaged with more than just still graphics. It proved to be very effective.
